Constantinos Papavassilopoulos tracks the television and online video markets in 26 countries, including 15 in the market known as MENA, or the Middle East and North Africa; as well as those in India, Turkey, South Africa, Israel, Greece, Cyprus, and Malta. He is also the author of timely market monitors that cover and analyze in detail the pay-TV markets in MENA, India, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Turkey.
Constantinos contributes regularly to reporting, analysis, and commentary on a variety of topics, and is a frequent guest speaker at conferences and events throughout MENA and Europe. He is frequently interviewed by market research and business publications, as well as those for the trade and the press.
Prior to joining Omdia, Constantinos headed the new technologies department at the Hellenic Audiovisual Institute in Greece, the country’s foremost applied research organization for audiovisual communications. He received a bachelor’s degree in geology from the University of Athens in Greece, and holds a master’s degree in communication studies from the University of Leeds in England.
