24 September 2019 Report ID: CES005-000045

Summary

Introduction

The launch of 5G means fixed broadband bundles will become more imperative over time. That's because 5G threatens the bundle, but it will not mean the end of it entirely. Telcos will need to innovate the bundle in two key ways. First, ensure macroservices, such as mobile and even smart home, are part of the bundle. Second, ensure microservices, such as a sliver of an OTT TV (e.g., Health and Fitness) are part of the bundle to entice new users. Next-gen bundles of 2023 will prevent existing broadband users from going 5G-only.
