Tim Westcott
Tim Westcott specializes in TV program production and distribution, sports rights, and public broadcasting. He is the editor of the monthly Media and Technology Digest. His responsibilities include the TV Programming Intelligence Service, which he was instrumental in launching in October 2012, and TV Channel Intelligence.  

Tim worked previously at the European Audiovisual Observatory in Strasbourg, Germany, as an analyst specializing in public film and audiovisual funding. He co-authored an Observatory report on the subject and was also responsible for KORDA, an online database of film funds.  

A trained journalist, Tim has worked for the Financial Times, Emap, and Television Business International. During his freelance days, he authored reports on children's television and animation for IHS, and also wrote for a number of publications, including Broadcast, Variety, Ecran Total, and The Guardian.  

Tim can provide commentary and insight to the media on subjects such as TV programming production, sports rights, free-to-air broadcasting and pay-TV channels, public broadcasting, and children’s television and animation. 

He holds a Master of Arts (Honors) degree in English literature from Trinity College, the University of Cambridge. He speaks fluent French, and is based in London.
