Paul Gagnon has more than 14 years of experience in the consumer electronics industry, with expertise in TV market tracking, forecasting, and analysis, as well as in consulting and conferences. He has been cited as an industry expert in numerous publications, such as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and the Los Angeles Times.
In earlier work at DisplaySearch, Paul served as the director of global TV research as well as senior analyst for North America, acting in those capacities to chair the annual DisplaySearch US FPD conference on flat-panel displays.
Paul has also worked as a senior marketing analyst, forecasting and analyzing volatile TV and video market trends for Hitachi America and the company’s home electronics division, where he gained extensive product development and strategic planning experience as he took charge of retail sales incentive promotions. He was a member of the video division market research committee of the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA).
Paul is one of only 11 Technology Fellows named by IHS Markit during his time at the company, an honor that recognizes his deep expertise and exceptional standing within the analyst community.
Holder of a bachelor’s degree in marketing, Paul also has an MBA from San Diego State University in California.
