David Hancock
David Hancock heads the global film and cinema department, which includes the online data and analysis service, cinema intelligence, and digital cinema activities. 

David specializes in new business models, market sizing and valuation, competitor analysis and benchmarking, strategic roadmaps, due diligence, and in-depth market analysis. A consultant to film producers and stakeholders, he has also lent his expertise to major media units, digital cinema companies, technology groups, investment banks, international organizations, and government agencies. 

David is the co-author of the Digital Cinema: Roll-out, business models and forecasts report, as well as lead author of Alternative Content in Cinemas. He co-authored the groundbreaking Cinema and Home Entertainment in China, in partnership with Nielsen NRG. He is also a frequent film industry commentator for the BBC, CNN, Bloomberg, Reuters, Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, Le Monde, The Guardian, Los Angeles Times, and other leading outlets. 

David began his career at IDATE. He was a senior executive at Eurimages, the Strasbourg-based pan-European co-production fund working within the Council of Europe. He joined the company during the 2010 acquisition of Screen Digest.

David holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in business studies and French from Leeds Metropolitan University in England. He speaks fluent French, and he is a board member of several groups, including the European Digital Cinema Forum (EDCF).
