Alex Harrowell
Alexander is a senior analyst in Omdia's Enterprise Services team. He focuses on all forms of IT and telecoms services for SMEs, and especially on the intersection of the cloud, 5G, and IoT.

Alexander joined Omdia, formerly Ovum, in September 2016. Prior to joining Omdia, he was the second employee of a start-up analyst and consulting firm, STL Partners Ltd., where he worked for nine years on the Telco 2.0 project, analyzing operator business models and technology strategies.


Before STL, he was a staff writer for Mobile Communications International magazine, covering wireless broadband, IMS, and the first smartphone operating systems. A first-wave blogger, he also contributes data journalism to POLITICO Europe.


Alexander holds an MSc in international relations from Royal Holloway, University of London.
